CAMPUS: Final year students of All India Catholic University Federation (AICUF) handed over their responsibilities to the second year students as part of ‘AICUF Day 2015’ on Monday.

Jenophine, III IES took over as the AICUF President for the next academic year. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Melwin Calaco, Department of Chemistry and PV Peter, Karnataka State animator, AICUF.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Mervin said, “AICUF has reached great heights because of the hard work and sacrifice of senior students towards the betterment of society. I wish the new comers good luck to carry the responsibility with the same blaze as the seniors.”

Speaking about his experience, PV Joseph, former President of AICUF said, “The last three years have been a great experience. In the process of reaching out to the marginalised people of the society, I got inspired and transformed by the people I met in the various walks of life.”

The event also included the screening a short video based on the social work done by AICUF members over the last year.  Students who actively participated in AICUF activities were awarded with certificates.

“My experience of being an AICUF member has been tremendous; I loved AICUF, the association that helped me give my service for the humanity,” said Domnic Oangemei, I HEP.
