BENGALURU: Bengaluru Bulls lost to U-Mumba on its home ground with a 29-36 margin at Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium on Wednesday.
With this win, Mumbai retain their top position on the table with 50 points while Bengaluru continue to remain in the third position with 32 points.
There were quite a lot of expectations from Bengaluru’s Ajay and Manjith, but they crumbled, disappointing the home team’s supporters. Bengaluru secured 12 touches, 10 tackles, four bonus, and three extras, while Mumbai scored 11 touches, 19 tackles, one bonus, four all-outs and an extra. But Bengaluru failed to get even a single all-out. U-Mumba’s Rishank Devadiga stood as the Best Rider with four crucial points out of 14 raids, while Mohit Chillar, with five tackle points out of seven, was declared the Best Defender.
“I heard that people think we are the toughest competition in the league and I am proud. Our job is to come out and do our best. We have strong defense and that’s what makes us a great team.” Said Bhaskar, U-Mumba coach.
