BENGALURU: Prakash Raj, national award winning multi-lingual actor and director, will inaugurate the fifth Bengaluru International Short Film Festival (BISFF) scheduled tobe held from August 28 to 30, at Suchitra Film Society.
Mr Raj will be accompanied by actor and writer, Prakash Belawadi and actor-director Rakshit Shetty for the three-day long festival.
There are 300 short films from more than 85 countries which will be screened in the festival. “Most of the short films which are in the list are exceptionally imagined, tightly scripted and also very powerful which will move the audience,” said Murali, one of the organisers. “This year, there were more entries than expected. It was very difficult for the juryto select 300 films out of 3000 entries,” he added.
The films are categorised into international competitions, Indian non-student competition, Indian student competition, Kannada competition and animation competition. The screenings are also followed by discussions with film makers, interactive sessions and Master Classes on film making aspects.
