CAMPUS: In a landslide victory at the annual Gospel fest Exalted, organised by Bishop Cotton’s Women’s Christian College, the Christian Student Association (CSA) team, St Joseph’s College (SJC), bagged the overall trophy.
With the preparation for Exodus 2015 in full-swing, one might think this victory was impossible. But the students of SJC proved their mettle with scintillating performances.
Neha Soans, Cultural Secretary CSA said, “This victory is like a welcome for us. In-spite of preparations for Exodus, our teams worked really hard and gave their best.”
She also said that the teams were placed first in most of the events except in vernacular music, western acoustic and ‘wealth from waste’. Their closest competitors Kristhu Jayanthi College bagged the runners up and St Joseph’s College of Commerce had to settle for the third place.
Over 16 colleges from across the city participated in the two-day fest. The competitions included events such as street-play, Bible quiz, Noah’s Ark, a secular version of personality competition and potpourri.
