CAMPUS: A seminar on the theme “Democracy and Socialism” at SJC has called for protecting and preserving the secular and pluralistic nature of Indian polity.
The seminar was organised by the Kannada Sangha on Tuesday.
“Every Indian has their rights and those who cannot implement democracy they will be unfit to be in democracy. Pluralism in India has different people, religions, caste, and languages,” said Mangalore Vijay, a leading Kannada writer.
“There is no need for some people to decide what others should eat,” said Ramanjinappa Allmati, State President of the All India Democratic Youth Organisation.
