BENGALURU: To celebrate the 7th World’s Drivers’Day, the Indian Vehicle Driver’s Trade Union is set to award the title of “No.1 driver” to 55 drivers from the state on July 21.
The drivers who do not have any accident case against them will be awarded with silver and gold coins encouraging them for their safe driving around the City.
“We are very proud to encourage drivers who are helpful to the public as well as indulge in safe driving. It’s an honour for us to award such drivers,” said Gandasi Sadandaswamy, President of the union.
The award will be given to drivers of bus, cab, auto, tractor, fire engine, ambulance, JCB, crane as well as to government and private vehicle drivers who are registered with the union all over India.
