BENGALURU: Karnataka Madiga Mahasabha demands action as Schedule Castes are denied constitutional rights. “Politicians should change their attitude against SCs and help to achieve social justice,” said KV Anand, General Secretary, Karnataka Madiga Mahasabha.

Reservations are meant to uplift the downtrodden but the situation of the lower caste people has not changed much in decades in spite of affirmative actions. This shows that the implementation has gone wrong and has not rectified the situation. A meeting is scheduled to be held on December 11,2016 at Nehru stadium at Hubballi by Karnataka Madiha Mahasabha Sabha.

The resolutions to be  passed  during the meeting are to implement  Justice Sadashiva Committee immediately and to cancel the temporary contract of municipal workers and to make them permanent employees of the government.
