BENGALURU: A mentorship programme organised at UB city saw many corporate women gather to help corporate moms who took a break ,restart their careers.
A collaboration of ‘Back to the front’ and ‘Jobs for her’, an organisation to enable women find their place in corporate sector, in businesses and in entrepreneurial ventures organised this mentoring session as a part of women empowerment program for married and elderly women who have quit their jobs due to family reasons .
This is an opportunity for those who want to restart their career . Mentors from different industries and background were present to guide the aspirants. The mentors present were Jaya Virwani, Diversity and Inclusiveness Head, EY , Vidya Santhanam, Program Director, Mindtree, Ambika Devi ,Director –Finance, Capgemini, Vanishri Deshpande, Senior Human Resource professional, A Venture Capital Firm and Mamatha Upadhyaya, Director of Data Science & Analytics.
Groups were divided with 8-10 people with a mentor. ”Understanding your strengths along with proper networking is important,” said Mamatha Upadaya, one of the mentors present.
