BENGALURU: Former CM B.S Yedurappa will inaugurate ‘Hampi Rathosava Sava’ and ‘Kannada Rathotsava’ fair on December 18 2016 at electronic city, Bengaluru said a press release.
There will also be books and uniform distribution for school children. Uniforms for auto drivers will also be distributed. “Sewing machines will be distributed to women,” said a member of the Rathotsava.
There will be a cultural programme where various folk dances like ‘Dollu’ ‘Kunnita’ ‘Veera Gasse’ ‘Pooja Kunnita’ will be performed. The leader of the Rathotsava VireshV said through various cultural programs that Kannada language will be promoted, which is the main aim of this organisation. He also added in Bengaluru people have forgotten the culture of Karnataka and the local language. In rural Karnataka, Kannada is still spoken and the culture still lingers on He added. “The Ratoyatha Sava has been trying to promote the Kannada culture for the last four years,” said a spokesperson of the ‘Kannada Rathotsava’.
Former Deputy CM R. Ashok Bommanhali, MLA Satish Reddy, MLA Mahadeva Pula will attend the funcution.
