BENGALURU: Abhinadhana cultural Trust plans to hold Nammura Habba 2017 for the fourth consecutive year in Bengaluru. The event will be scheduled to take place at Chandragupta Maurya stadium in Jayanagar on January 21 and 22.
Addressing the media Sankara Kunth, member of the trust said, “There are around 15 lakhs of people from costal Karnataka who live in Bengaluru. The event plans to display the culture, cultural hostages, life style, games, and food along with bringing them together under a roof. It also plans to give a platform to rare talents and relieve the traditional games and plays.”
Giving a bird’s eye view of the event Sankara Kunth explained, “Nammura Habba will be inaugurated by Bhujanga Koraga, who has been honoured with Janapada Academy award for 2015. Nammura Sante, the food carnival will be inaugurating by G.Sreenivasan from Food and beverage Industry. Kite festival, Photo santé and Cartoon habba will be the special attraction of the event. Cartoonist and caricaturist Prakash Shetty will inaugurate cartoon Habba.” Young entrepreneur Vakwadi Praveen Shetty will be conferred ‘Kireeta Prashasti’ Award by B.V Acharya, Former Advocate General of Karnataka on 21 January,2017.
Union Ministers Ananth Kumar and Sadananda Gowda and actor Puneeth Raj Kumar will take part in the events. The event will also have traditional and costal village food with 200 recipes. Members from Kudubi and Koraga communities will present cultural programmes.
