BENGALURU: The city is all set to celebrate the 68th Republic Day, with various functions at Manekshaw Parade Ground. This one of the biggest celebration in Bengaluru, which has been taking place every year.
The event will be graced by CM Siddaramaiah as the guest of honour. Apart from his presence, there will be various dance performances from schools all over Bengaluru, and March past parades by army troupes and organisations like Red Cross, NCC, NCC Navy, Scouts and so on.
“Around 100 to 150 school children will be participating from each school tomorrow. The program will begin at 8 am in the morning and will continue till around 11 am,” said a policeman present at the Manekshaw Parade Ground today.
The safety and security of the ground are being controlled by the Bangalore City Police, and they are keeping a close contact with every visitor on the grounds. Also, special passes have been distributed, without which no person will be allowed to enter the premises.
The monitoring of the grounds have been very strict and guests without passes will not be allowed under any circumstances. Also, there will be control and diversion of traffic, under the guidance of Bangalore City Police.
