BENGALURU: The Innovative Festival, which provides an opportunity and platform for Innovators from all over Karnataka, was inaugurated on January 27, 2017, at Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum (VITM), in Bengaluru. VITM is organising the festival as a part of the Innovation Hub activities between January 27-29, 2017.

Mr Sanjay Naik, CEO & Managing Director of TEJAS Networks, Bengaluru, inaugurated the festival. “The three main ingredients for innovations to pursue are an innovation ecosystem, people and impact. Innovations may be creative, but it has to be relevant and beneficial to the society,” said Naik, who stressed that innovations help to build a sustainable ecosystem.

More than 30 innovators and entrepreneurs from all over the state are participating to showcase their innovations. Many schools also participated in the inauguration to make their students aware of how they could use their talents to be creative.

“ The idea is to make children think differently and make them good observers. As a result, when they grow up they are inspired to become innovators,” said Mr KG Kumar, Director of VITM. ‘Do it Yourself workshops’ are being conducted on the themes of ‘Origami Mathematics’ and ‘Build from Scrap’ for the benefit of the students.

The Innovation Exhibition will be open to the public from 10 am to 5 pm. Activities like ‘Make & Remake’, ‘Clay Modeling’, etc. will be organised among others.
