BENGALURU: Unnathi Healing Foundation has planned a day long event at First Grade College for Women, Jayanagar on February 11. The programme aims to arrest the growing tendency among children succumbling to exam pressures and ending life or running away from home. Speaking to The Beacon, Dr Saraswathi Hegde, Founder President of Unnathi Healing Foundation said, “This program is open for all students, parents and teachers.”
The program uses a unique approach of peer counselling along with healing and meditation to send home the message that life is more than the marks in the examinations or a carrier in engineering, IT or medicine.”
The program is jointly organised by Unnathi Healing Foundation and R.V. Institute of Sankrit Studies.The event has been planned with the approaching exams in mind. “Inevitably after April we find news about student suicides, due to poor performances in exams and fear of censure at home. We at Unnathi believe in working for society,” said Dr Saraswathi.
The program includes motivational talks by Dr Nagaraj, founder of BASE Educational Services Pvt. Ltd, Dr Paulamni of NIMHANS, Dr Saraswathi Hegde, Founder President of Unnathi Healing Foundation on different aspects of the issue and on various tools and techniques to handle the exams.
