BENGALURU: Girijanotsava’, a tribal festival was celebrated at Hoskerehalli here on February 20. This tribal cum folklore festival was organized by Anka Samskritika Samste under the aegis of Kannada and Cultural Department, Government of Karnataka.
Various folk dances and music forms including Dollu Kunita, Veeragaase, Aadivaasi nritya among others were staged.
Speaking to The Beacon, singer Tetakal Manju said, “Present generations should take immediate actions and care to preserve the cultural diversity of not only our state but also of the whole country and mankind.”
“Maintaining our cultural heritage needs both, human capital which we lack and the economic capital which can be managed once we get human capital.’’she added.
