CAMPUS: Centre for Molecular and Computational Biology, Department of Botany, is organizing ‘Bengaluru Lake Summit 2017 (BLS-17) on March 6, 2017, at Xavier Hall, St. Joseph’s College.
Dr. Jayarama Reddy, Chairman of BLS-17 speaking to The Beacon said that the main theme of the Summit is about rejuvenation, conservation, and management strategies of urban wetland ecosystem with special emphasis on wetlands in Bengaluru Urban. “Various competitions based on the theme will be held for the students,” he added.
The Summit will be inaugurated by Sri. Lakshman, Chairman of Karnataka State Pollution Control Board and Dr.T.V. Ramachandra of the India Institute of Science will give the Keynote address.
There will be a panel discussion, paper and poster presentations based on studies related to more than 50 lakes of Bengaluru.
