BENGALURU: Unheard international stories and interesting conversations came together at a book-reading session, ‘An evening with Attic Books & Anita Nair’ at Artville, HRBR Layout, on February 25, 2017.
After an awe-inspiring reading of ‘The River’s Song’ and ‘If I Only Had Time’, the platform opened up for an interactive session with the audience. From writer’s block to the challenges in writing for children, the difficulties faced by upcoming writers to choosing subjects to work on, Anita answered many questions posed to her.
The writer said that interactive reading sessions like these help increase the interaction between a writer and his/her audience. “These works which are published through ‘Attic Books’ intend to bring unheard stories from international writers, who might not be familiar to the audience here. Apart from these two books, we intend to come out with three others books under the same banner,” Nair added.
On the occasion, Roshan George, founder of Artville said, “We intend to make our space, a platform for any field of arts, be it literature, theatre or performance-based arts, and create more interesting interactions in the city through this initiative.
