SJC bags intercollegiate runners-up trophy​

CAMPUS: St Joseph’s College of Arts and Sciences won the Rotary Indiranagar President’s Runner’s Up Trophy.

This was an inter-collegiate football tournament, which was sponsored by Rotary Club of Indiranagar at Karnataka State Football Association Stadium, Ashok Nagar.

The tournament was conducted on March 15 between 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The team scored one goal in first half and two goals in second half.

“Our boys played well and I am satisfied with their performance. I thank the management of SJC for giving this opportunity,’’ said Lawrence Rodrigues, Assistant Physical Education teacher and football coach at SJC.

The best striker was Rosing Nongbri, II EPS. He won a sum of Rs 500. The best defender of the team was Nirad Bose, I BVoc in filmmaking.
