BENGALURU: The Bangalore Traffic Police have taken steps to ensure smooth movement of traffic on Wednesday, February 27, near Chinnaswamy Stadium where India takes on Australia in the second of the two T20I matches during the Kangaroos’ away tour. The Cubbon Park

Traffic Police are making arrangements to avoid traffic congestion in the area in the evening when match starts. The parking area around the stadium has been turned into No Parking zone. The parking for the stadium is being shifted to St Joseph’s High School and UB City.

The match may be scheduled to begin at 7 pm, but spectators will begin arriving much earlier, which could lead to traffic snarls, especially at a time that officer-goers consider a rush hour when returning home. A second such situation, but much smaller, may take place when the match ends around midnight, with spectators scrambling to get to their vehicles and go home as soon as possible.

The police are reportedly prepared for these eventualities, and will apparently act according to any new situation that may arise.
